Our Founder's Story

When I started my career as an interior designer, I fell in love with creating beautiful, functional spaces. For 13 years, I immersed myself in the work, but eventually, the routine started to feel stale. I wanted a new challenge, something that would push me to grow and innovate. I knew I didn't want to switch to commercial design or staging; my passion was in residential design. So, I decided to find a way to change the industry I loved.

I had already ventured into the world of tech, founding and eventually selling a social media management platform called Social Mako. This experience gave me a new perspective. I started asking myself, "Why isn't there a single platform where a designer can manage their entire business?" I realized that to handle just one project, I was bouncing between six different tools. Nothing on the market was built specifically for the unique needs of an interior designer.

That's when Indema was born. We created the first all-in-one business management platform designed exclusively for interior designers. We've brought together everything from project management to client communication, making it simple to run your business efficiently.

I'm incredibly proud to be a pioneer in this space, and it's a huge source of motivation to connect with designers who are in the exact position I used to be in. Seeing their businesses grow and thrive with a tool I built from my own struggles brings me immense joy. The challenges we face in the tech world only make the work more exciting. Every day is different, and that's what gets me up in the morning.

Indema's mission is bigger than just one tool. We're working to unify the entire home renovation industry by bridging the communication gaps between general contractors, architects, home builders, clients, and trades. We're building a platform that makes collaboration seamless, helping the whole ecosystem work together better.

My journey taught me that success isn't built in a day. It takes resilience, a willingness to take risks, and a healthy relationship with failure. Just as Thomas Edison needed to fail over a thousand times to create a successful lightbulb, every great innovation requires patience and persistence.

My advice to you is simple: be resilient, embrace change, and don't let the fear of failure hold you back. You can do this. Welcome to indema.
